Sleep Apnoea – Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP)
Not getting a good night’s sleep? Obstructive Sleep Apnoea is when the soft tissue in the throat cuts off air supply while sleeping. It is a very common sleep disorder and can affect people at any age. The most effective treatment for Obstructive Sleep Apnoea is Continuous Positive Airway Pressure therapy (CPAP). CPAP provides light air pressure that holds open the airway via the use of a small mask. In almost all cases CPAP gives patients uninterrupted sleep throughout the entire night. We use CPAP equipment from Phillip Respironics, Fisher & Paykel and ResMed. Please come in-store and speak to our specialist about any questions you may have.
Absence from Work Certificate
Under the Fair Work Act introduced in 2009, our Pharmacists are now able to write Absence from Work Certificates (medical certificates). Consultations for an Absence from Work Certificate are conducted in store by an experienced Pharmacist and can vary in length. If you are ill or injured or are caring for someone who is ill or injured (excluding parental leave) and am unable to see your Doctor, than our Pharmacists may be able to help!
Please Note: Absence from Work Certificates are issued at the Pharmacists’ discretion and they can only issue certificates for conditions they are professionally qualified to assess. Certificates cannot be backdated, and when writing Absence from Work Certificates for a carer the person who is ill must be present.
